A Closer look at California’s hate crime report

Hate crimes continue to climb in California. The state attorney general released his latest report tracking a variety of crimes and it shows more than 2,100 hate crimes were reported last year — an increase of 20% from the previous years and the highest rate since 2001. NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai spoke to Manju Kulkarni, co-founder of the group Stop AAPI Hate, about the report.
