Call to Action: Help secure a critical reinvestment for our communities!

Dear Friends,

Witnessing communities connect around the FIFA World Cup is demonstrating in real time the beauty of celebrating each other and our diversity.

For the past three years, the Stop the Hate grant program has united around the same values of belonging and community. Millions of impacted Californians were supported, from defending tenants from discriminatory evictions to responding to calls of assault on public transit.

As this grant comes to an end, AAPI Equity Alliance is thrilled to share that the California Senate and Assembly have decided to reinvest $30 million for the Stop the Hate program! We commend the State Legislature for its unwavering leadership in tackling the rising tide of hate.

Although this is good news, it’s not a done deal. Negotiations with the Governor are happening now. Help secure this reinvestment back into our communities by calling your representatives today!

With the flood of harmful rhetoric and discriminatory policies ushering in this chapter of America, a wave of hate is rising with it. Stop the Hate is a critical social safety net that benefits ALL of us, and it must be sustained.
